He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy B. Winningham and Carrie Mae Winningham; his daughter Monica Gayle Winningham; his grandson Drew Worthey; and his brother JB Winningham.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Winningham; his children, Angela Worthey (Greg) and Shane Winningham (Teresa); his sisters, Pat Dalton (Larry) and Ruth Kemp (Bob); his grandchildren, Caleb Winningham (Leigha), Ivory Winningham (Alexis), Morgan Winningham and Elyse Harris (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Autumn Winningham, Hunter Winningham, Lucas Worthey and Marcy Worthey.
