He was predeceased by: his wife Ella Ward; his son Timothy Ward; his brother Pete Ward; his great grandchild Lily Cheatwood; and his parents, Thomas Ward and Frances Ward.
He is survived by: his children, David Mark Ward of Piedmont, AL, Thomas Jefferson Ward, II (Ginger) of Villa Rica, GA and Ramona Lisa Ward (John Wesley Ward) of Villa Rica; his sister Yvonne Matthews of Marietta, GA; and his sister-in-law Nema Ward of Powder Springs, GA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nephews & nieces.
It was Luther's wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to Lost Mountain Baptist Church at 5400 Old Dallas Rd. Powder Springs, GA 30127.
