We are sad to announce that on August 20, 2024, at the age of 72, LaRuth Chalk Spencer of Villa Rica, Georgia, born in Jacksonville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Franklin Chalk and Sallie Mae Wilcox Chalk; her granddaughter Zaria Nyasia Bradley; and her siblings, James Franklin Chalk Jr., Prince Chalk, Evelyn Yvonne Gupton (Charles), Denise Sims (Bertrum) and Marcia Knight (Kenneth).
She is survived by: her husband John Spencer of Villa Rica, GA; her children, LaNise Crawford (Martinez) of Buffalo, NY, Alisha Spencer of Snellville, GA, Jon Spencer (Dayanara) of Snellville, GA and Jeremy Spencer (Kimerlin) of Austell, GA; and her siblings, Pearl Jones of Detroit, MI, Linda Porter of Detroit, MI, Gwendolyn Brown of Detroit, MI, Bobby Chalk and Vernus Chalk of Detroit, MI. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
