He was predeceased by: his parents, Clemmie Lee McClain and Mary Etheline Henry McClain; his wife Patricia McClain; his children, Michael McClain, Lacey and Lori McClain; and his brother Robert McClain.

He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Ann Laney (Anthony) of Villa Rica and Jason McClain (Britta) of Rockmart; his brother Danny McClain of Palmetto; and his grandchildren, Greyson McClain, Ellie McClain, Lydia Laney, Elias Laney and Alyssa Matznick. He is also survived by his family and friends.
