She was predeceased by: her father Earl; and her husband Harold "Cotton" Meeks. She is survived by: her parent Verdene Kirby Smith; her children, Mike Meeks and Connie Meeks Duffey (Tom Duffey); and her grandchildren, Adam Meeks (Evan Johnson) and Emery Duffey (Dylan Beaumont).
