He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Cox and Newell Lee Curtis; and his brothers, Lee Curtis and Wesley Mahaffey. He is survived by: his daughters, Christy Newton (Dick), Brigette Curtis and Jennie Curtis; his grandchildren, Hunter Jackson (Brook), Nic Newton, Tyler Newton, Macilyn Ogle and Maddilen Ogle; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Henry and Emma; and his siblings, Tony Curtis, John Cox, David Cox and Michelle McGee. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
