He was predeceased by: his parents, W. D. Ray and Jessie Lee Fuller Ray; and his siblings, E. D. Ray, Carolyn Ray and Bobby Jean Levi.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Dianne Tallent Ray of Villa Rica; his children, Rhonda (Tony Brown), Patty (Raymond Hartley) and Thomas; his daughter-in-law Carla Ray of Villa Rica; his siblings, Ann Emmons of Mableton, Alleen Hicks of Villa Rica, Margaret McAlister of Greenville, SC, Lynn McWatters of Villa Rica and Ronnie Ray of Villa Rica; and his grandchildren, Chad, Jason, Michelle Hartley, Chase, Marie Hartley, Devin, Lexi De Armon, Brittany Ray, Kim and Scott Swindle. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
