He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillard Staton and Irene Staton; his sisters, Adelle Staton and Judy Staton Price (Ray Price); his sister-in-law June Staton; and his brother Larry Staton (Gloria Staton).

He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Macy, Carter Staton, Reed and Della White; and his brothers, Lonnie Staton, David Staton (Beverly Staton) and Gary Staton (Janet Staton). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
