He was predeceased by: his parents, Ullen Felton Smith and Pauline Hatcher Smith; and his wife Janice Marie Outen. He is survived by: his children, Shannan Norton of Villa Rica and Alexander (Michelle Smith); his sister Martha Nell Davis (Rick) of Perry, GA; his grandsons, Justin Smith (Lindsey) and Joshua Smith; his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Hezekiah Maria and Phoetini; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Bricken (John), Michael Davis (Anna), Melanie Nipper (Gerry), Joseph Outen (Melanie), David Outen and Amy Guerra.
