He was predeceased by: his parents, John Esbun Teate and Mary Jane Fenn Teate; and his sister Mary Jane Sangster. He is survived by: his wife Myra M. Teate of Vienna; his children, Shelley T. Gunter (Brent) of Byron, Heather T. Bartlett (Trevor) of Vienna and John Thomas Teate (Audrey) of Americus; his grandchildren, Elley Brooke Gunter, Brenley Grace Gunter, Sally Joelle Gunter, Addie Jewel Gunter, Joshua Lane Bartlett, Samuel Luke Bartlett, Mary Annalee Teate and Emmie Jane Teate; and his sisters, Johnnie T. Williams of Americus and Laura T. Cheek of Americus.
