He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hilton Shelton and Jewel Cook Shelton; his wife Barbara Stone Shelton; his son Tracy Tyrone Shelton; his grandson Andrew Tyler Justice; and his brothers, Royce Shelton and R. J. Shelton.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Shelton (Angelia), Jerry Shelton (Penny) of Eastman and Tammy Justice (Billy) of Chester; and his siblings, Wayne Shelton (Cathy), James Shelton (Janice) of Winter Garden, FL., Margaret Baird, Linda Wagner (Gary) and Ruby Nell Maloy of Winter Garden, FL.. He is also survived by Great Grandchildren.
He also served as chairman of the organization committee of organ donors for the Oconee Council to raise awareness of the importance of organ donation.
