He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Gassett Copeland; his sons, Darrell Copeland and Charlie Copeland; his parents, Lonnie Francis Copeland, Sr. and Nancy Eugene Moye Copeland; and his siblings, Sarah Frances Copeland Grimes and Francis F. Copeland, Jr..
He is survived by: his brother Paul Copeland (Miriam) of Center; his adoptive daughter Ashley Mock (Ronnie); and also, Aryana Mock and Zayne Mock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
