He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Walter and E. W.. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Wilkes Hart of Vidalia; his children, Shannon Hart (Traci) and Kelly Hart of Vidalia; his sister Freddie Hart of St. Augustine, Florida; his grandchildren, Colby, Blair, Carson, Katie and Madison (Craig); and his great grandchild Mayleigh.
