She was predeceased by: her son Johnny Gordon Schumacher; her parents, Jiro Taira and Toshi Arakake Taira; and her brother Fumioeo Taira. She is survived by: her children, Kriss Blount (Tony) of Vidalia, Linda Koral (Dan) of Plant City and Brian Schumacher of Anchorage, Alaska; her grandchildren, Chelsea Koral, Daniel Koral of Plant City and Jacquelyn Jedlicka of Vidalia; and her siblings, Massau Taira, Yoshiko Kinjo and Hatsko Taira.
