She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennie Burkett and Katheryn NeeSmith Burkett. She is survived by: her children, B. J. Poole (Whitney) of Baxley and Amanda Kennedy (Joe Jack) of Tattnall County; her brothers, Marty Burkett (SaDonna) of Gray's Landing, Ricky Burkett (Rhonda) of Kibbee and David Burkett (Jan) of Mt. Vernon; her grandchildren, Cassie Collins, Brailey Poole, Brooke Poole and Brynlee Poole; her cousin Joanne Collins; and her close friends, Brenda Whitaker and Sheila Ogle.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00, In lieu of flowers, memorial.
