With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel Carl Polk of Vidalia, Georgia, born in Ocala, Florida, who passed away on March 28, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ruth Underwood of Vidalia; his son Darin Polk (Sandra) of Statesboro; his stepson John Underwood (Tiffany) of Vidalia; his daughter Wendy Polk Strickland (Lloyd); his stepdaughter Jennifer Evans (Lee) of Vidalia; and his siblings, Clarence "Les" Polk (Kathy) of Gainesville, James "Buddy" Polk (Loretta) of Reddick, Florida and Evelyn Polk Britt of Gainesville, Florida. He was also cherished by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
