It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Darley (Vidalia, Georgia), who passed away on July 11, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her children, Jerry Cox and Roy Darley; her parents, Vernon Sowell and Ada Sowell; her son Garland Benjamin Layton; and her siblings, Cuba Lee Davis, Eunice Mosley, Jimmy Sowell, Carlos Sowell, Howard Sowell, Ira Sowell and Pierce Sowell.
She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Cox; her children, June Dickerson of Vidalia, Bonnie Collier (Jerry) and John Cox of Vidalia; and her brother Carl Sowell (Mae) of Albany. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
