He was predeceased by: his wife Pearl Williams Scott; and his parents, Leonard James Scott and Mary Frances Hampsten Scott. He is survived by: his children, Leonard J. Scott (Angela) of Granada Hills, Matthew W. Scott of Toombs County and Genia Scott Daughtry (Rob) of Gray; and his brother Dave Scott (Jennie) of Houghton Lake, Michigan. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
