He was predeceased by: his former wife Ruth Brown McDaniel; and his son Danny McDaniel. He is survived by: his wife Ewana McDaniel of Vidalia; his children, Deborah E. Simmons of Barnesville, Connie Carter (Bobby) of Ailey, Donna McDaniel of Vidalia, Danita Dykes of McRae-Helena and Darrell McDaniel (Angela) of Griffin; his stepchildren, Margie Neely (Jason) of Washington, Melinda Smith (Jimmy) of Dublin, GA and Mitchell Poole (Angel) of Dublin, GA; and his sisters, Sally Patterson of San Antonio, TX and Tina Young of Boston, Mass. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
