He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Tyson Hamilton; his former wife Faye Spivey; his parents, Willie Bernard Hamilton and Lucy Rae McDonald Hamilton; and his siblings, Diane Hamilton Coursey and Billy Hamilton.
He is survived by: his children, Mitch Hamilton (Donna) of Lyons, Ben Hamilton of Statesboro and Lourae Hamilton Clements of Richmond County; his grandchildren, Laura Hamilton Dowd (Taylor) of Lyons, Madison Hamilton Thompson (Jake) of Sylvania, Shelby Clements of Rincon and Radley Clements of Rincon; his great grandchildren, Rachel Dowd and Hamp Thompson; his brother Bobby Hamilton (Jenny) of Vidalia; and his close friend Sandra Holland.
