She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, John Edward Kirkland (Tricia) of Vidalia, Arthur W. "Sam" Kirkland (Thelma) of Montana, Lee Ann Kirkland and David Durrence of Savannah; her grandchildren, Jennifer Cannon (John) of Vidalia, Maria Youmans (Levi) of Adrian and John Dallas Durrence of Savannah; her great grandchildren, Tilar, Chloe, Desirae, Noah, Haley and Levi; her brother John Charles "J. C."; her wife Eveline of Lyons; her sister Dorothy Massey of Macon; and her close friends, Willie Young and Christal White.
