She was predeceased by: her husband Benjamin "Doc" McDonald; her daughter-in-law Shirley McDonald; her parents, Clyde Shoemake and Edith Ireland Shoemake; and her siblings, Sara Matthews and Sidney Shoemake.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy McDonald James of Center and David McDonald of McDonough; her grandchildren, Jessica James Purvis, Drew James of Center, Brad McDonald and Derek McDonald of Lyons; and her great grandchild Kelsey McDonald.
