He was predeceased by: his parents, Mayor Hugh M. Dixon and Myrtice Dixon Young; his brother Reverend Bobby R. Dixon; and his sister-in-law Joyce H. Scarabin. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Eason Dixon; his sons, Ronald Andrew "Rad" Dixon, Jr. of Woodstock, Hugh Mitchell Dixon (Sarah) of Cumming and Randy Michael Dixon (Maggie) of Marietta; his grandchildren, Landon, Sutton Dixon of Woodstock, Ellie Blanken of Cumming, Calhoun and Mills Dixon of Marietta; his brother Wendell H. Dixon (Elaine) of Vidalia; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Dixon of Vidalia, Kathy E. Mercer (Jimmy) of Woodstock, Deborah E. Watkins of Hazlehurst and Kenny Hutto of Waycross. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
