She was predeceased by: her husband Don Sears; her parents, Ivey T. Thomas and Esther Gertrude Garrett Thomas; her daughter-in-law Beverly McCord Sears; and her siblings, J. C. Thomas, Romie Thomas, Martha Durden, Betty Bennett and Sandra Thomas.
She is survived by: her sons, Larry Sears of Vidalia and Todd Sears of Habersham County; and her sisters, Glenda Thomas Henry of Swainsboro, Shirley Thomas Stowe of Canoochee and Joann Thomas Bedgood of Soperton.
