She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry A. Hodges, Sr. and Daisy Way Hodges; her brothers, Harry A. Hodges, Jr. and William Hodges; and her nephews, Harry A. Hodges III and William Hodges, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Richard S. Herring, Sr; her son Richard S. Herring, Jr. (Evelyn) of Lyons; her sister-in-law Nell Hodges of Vidalia; her grandchildren, Glenn Phillips (Kathy) of Vidalia and Terry Phillips of Lyons; her great grandchildren, Jennifer Phillips of Vidalia and Jessica Phillips of Vidalia; her great great grandchildren, Ariel Sikes of Tennessee, Macy Strickland of Vidalia and Bryton Sikes of Tennessee; her nieces and nephews, Gayle Corley (Bud) of Vidalia, Jana Underwood (Wayne) of Savannah, Bikie Randall of Lyons, Jennifer Corley of Vidalia, Kelly Leggett, Darla Rice, Cathy Dropkin, Jeff Corley and Carson Randall; and also Susan Betancourt.
