She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Earl Ware and Obie Varnadoe Ware; her husband H. A. Burns, Jr.; and her siblings, Earl Ware, Perry Ware, Maynard Ware, Sarah Frances Soles and Margaret Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Earl Burns (Sherry) of Vidalia, Patricia Burns of Vidalia and Jimmie Burns (Susan) of Vidalia; and her granddaughters, Gina Burns Page of Vidalia, Rebecca Burns of Decatur and Kathleen Burns of Atlanta.
