She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Meeks; her parents, Daniel Hughes and Ella Bell Johnson Hughes; and her siblings, Nellie Faircloth, Dorothy Orlang, Leon Hughes, Eddie Hughes and Herman Hughes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Jarriel (Jimmy) of Normantown, Jackie Edwards (Tim) of Normantown and Tammie Wilson (Jennifer Moxley) of Normantown; her grandchildren, Jaime Kilgore, Jennifer Galbreath, Timothy Edwards, Dusty Faircloth, Mindie Query and Monika Esco; her siblings, Ronnie Hughes (Susan) of Hephzibah, Dannie Hughes (Kay) of Melrose, Marvin Hughes (Judy), Betty Williams (L. C.) of Ailey, Grace Hixon (Tommie) of Augusta and Mildred Roland of Normantown; and her sister-in-law Maxine Hughes. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
