She was predeceased by: her husband Charlie Newsome; her son Virgil Newsome; her parents, Johnny Wilson Carroll and Lizzie Crosby Carroll; and her siblings, Johnnie Mae Miller, Doris Willis, Mary Ethel Woods of Herbert Carroll, H. B, A. M. Carroll, Howard Carroll and Joe Carroll.
She is survived by: her son Charles W. Newsome of Toombs Central; and her brother Archie Carroll (Janice) of Jesup.
