He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grier and Mary Yarbrough Waddell; and his stepson David Threatte. He is survived by: his wife Nell Stewart Waddell of Vidalia; his children, Jeffrey Waddell (Valarie) of Clemmons, Carla Martin (Don) of Columbus and Lisa Peden (David) of Brandon, Mississippi; and his sister Yvonne Trapnell (Billy) of Metter. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several, nieces, nephews.
