He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Howell and Erline Howell; his siblings, James, Eulene and Joy Faye; and his granddaughter Cassie Meadows.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Brantley Howell; his children, Tracy Wilkes of Vidalia, Tommy Howell (Leigh Ann) of Gray, Denise Wilkes of Vidalia and Tona Howell of Vidalia; his brother Ellis Howell (Sandra) of Vidalia; and his grandchildren, Brandi Bishop, Brandon Wilkes, Beth McCarty, Cameron Bishop, Taylor Meadows, Clayton Meadows and Haleigh Howell. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
