He was predeceased by: his wife Charlie Jo McDaniel; his parents, John Alexander McDaniel, Sr. and Audrey Hall McDaniel; and his siblings, James Hall McDaniel and Etta Lee McDaniel Henry.
He is survived by: his children, Angela McDaniel Phillips (Pasco) and Mark A. McDaniel (Amanda Keelin); and his grandchildren, Joshua Phillips (Ashley), Catherine "Katie" Meadows (Kris), Elizabeth Burkett (Bryce), Rebecca Phillips, Kole Alexander McDaniel, Madison Alexa McDaniel and Savannah Lynn. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
