He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Richardson and Myrtice Gray Richardson; his siblings, Bill Richardson and Ann Richardson Hall; and his granddaughter Heather Richardson.

He is survived by: his wife Merle McIntyre Richardson of Vidalia; his sons, Jamie Richardson of Eastman and Jason Richardson of Savannah; his grandson Shawn Richardson of Savannah; and his sister Betty Richardson Williamson of Vidalia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
