With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry L. Dawson of Vidalia, Georgia, born in Smiths Station, Alabama, who passed away on November 23, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lenard Dawson and Jessie Rae Cook Dawson; and his nephew Mark Newton. He is survived by: his wife Linda Avery Dawson; his children, Theresa Dawson Burns (Gregory) of Vidalia and Keith Dawson (Kelly) of Vidalia; his sister Linda Newton of Cobbtown; his grandchildren, Ashley Dawson, Katie Dawson, Noah Dawson, Emily Martin, Gauge Martin and AnnaBeth Martin; his siblings-in-law, Jane Avery Childree of Phenix City, Alabama and Terry Avery (Iris) of Phenix City; his niece Amy Newton Sikes (Don); his great-nieces, Shelby Sikes and Ella Newton; and his great-nephew Jackson Newton.
