He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Carlton Wilson and Mary Pauline Screws Wilson; and his brother Joseph Carlton Wilson, Jr.. He is survived by: his brother Trucking; his children, Lisa Ann Wilson McCarty of Cedar Crossing, Jennifer Renee Wilson Powell (Jamie) of Vidalia, James Kerry Wilson of Lake Placid and Aubrey James Stephens (Denise) of Nahunta; his sisters, Frances Kersey of St. Petersburg and JoAnn Vaughn of Vidalia; and his former wife Barbara Wilson Thiel of Cedar Crossing. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
