He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Massey Fields and Lucile Edge Fields; and his sisters, Lera Cooley and Catherine Lyles. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Pittman Fields of Vidalia; his daughter Eve McDonald of Glenwood; his sister Patricia Outler of Alston; and his grandchildren, Ashley Carney (Eric) of Vidalia, Brent Williamson (Emmy) of Vidalia, Bryson McDonald (Kristi) of Center Community, Amanda Williamson (Monty) of Kibbee, Alisa Papp (Joe) of Guyton and Blake McDonald of Augusta.
