He is survived by: his wife Ellen Waters Swearingen of Tennessee; his children, James Frank "Trey" Swearingen III (Kara) of Lyons and Tamah L. Swearingen of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Benjamin Edward Swearingen, Brady Austin Swearingen, Rylie Harper Swearingen, Everly Swearingen and Elleigh Swearingen; and his siblings, Linda Rice (Lynn) of Vidalia, Glenda Yearty of Albany and Kenneth Fannin (Bernice) of Winder.
