He was predeceased by: his son Jonathan Carl Sears; his granddaughter Cassy Dorsey; his parents, Harvey Carlos Sears, Sr. and Lola Bell Lowery Sears; and his sister Marie Sears.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn O'Neal Sears of McGregor; his daughters, Cathy Dorsey (Terry) of Lyons and Cheryl Sears Gore (Scott) of McGregor; his siblings, Della Ann Sears Kitchens of Lumber City, Austin Sears (Bonnie) of Vidalia, Rusty Sears of Hazlehurst, Randy Sears of Hazlehurst and Greg Sears of Hazlehurst; his grandchildren, Buck Dorsey (Cheyenne) of Lyons, Mason Gore (Sierra Coleman) and Kate Dorsey (Jaland Kelly); and his great grandchildren, Ava, Rylee, Jr., Harmony and Bailee.
