He was predeceased by: his parents, Theron Vaughn and Vera Logan Vaughn; his brothers, Leroy Vaughn and Cannie Vaughn; and his granddaughter Julia Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Earline C. Vaughn; his children, Sabrina Calhoun of Vidalia, Cindy Jones (Robert), Tim Vaughn (Kathy) of Macon, Mark Vaughn (Sonya) of Vidalia, Lisa Williamson (Greg) of Vidalia and Russ Vaughn (Tammye) of Vidalia; and his siblings, Carol Sharpe (Buddy) of Lyons, Margaret Burton of Lyons, Wanda Bellflower of Vidalia and Kenneth Vaughn (Belinda) of Vidalia. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
