It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys Rose Shuman of Vidalia, Georgia, born in Baxley, Georgia, who passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ned Leland Shuman, Sr. of Vidalia; her parents, John Barton and Katie Clyde Mosley Purvis; and her brother Hilton Barton Purvis. She is survived by: her son Ned Leland; her grandchildren, Connor Leland, Barbara Katherine and Cole Edward Shuman; and her cousin Julius Mosely (Louise) of Vidalia. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
