He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Maude Peavy and Benjamin Pickett Peavy; his siblings, Margaret Nelson, Kathleen Burkhalter and John Peavy; and his brother-in-law Lane H. Nelson, Sr..
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Betty Peavy and Cleveland Burkhalter; his nieces and nephews, Lane H. Nelson, Jr. (Marian), Eric Peavy, Sandra Lowery, Connie Deal (Jimmy) and Susan Nettles (Chris); and his friend Grace Cowart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Marvin Church, GA Hwy 147 and Martin Church Road, Lyons, GA 30436.
