She was predeceased by: her daughter Evelyn Collins; and her siblings, Herman Burkhalter, Daniel Burkhalter, James Burkhalter, Mary Herrington and Wendell Burkhalter.
She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Howell of Vidalia; her grandchildren, Mellissa Brown (Andrue), Melody Knies (Patrick) and Paul Asbell; her great grandchildren, Lakelyn Knies, Arya Knies, Raiyah Brown and Cohen Brown; and her brothers, Robert Herrington (Sheila) of Alamo and Henry Herrington (Jennifer) of California. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vaughn Funeral Home (107 E Oak St, McRae-Helena, GA 31055). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the same location.
