He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Lamb Jackson; his son James Jackson; his parents, Flem Jackson and Stella Cauley Jackson; and his siblings, Sadie Jackson Miller, Walter "Pete" Jackson and Larry Jackson.

He is survived by: his daughter Ruth Beasley (Roy); his grandchildren, Nolan Beasley of Normantown, Kayla Jackson of Cartersville and T. J. Jackson of Blue Ridge, Georgia; his great grandchild Bretley Beasley; and his siblings, Wilma Scott of Normantown, Diane Knight of Vidalia and Alvie Jackson (Bernice) of Normantown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
