He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Dixon McDaniel; and his parents, Joseph Norman McDaniel and Iva Wynn McDaniel. He is survived by: his children, Gwynn Colvin (Tommy) of Vidalia and Joe McDaniel (Carol) of Cartersville; his grandchildren, Kyle Denton of Cartersville, Taylor McDaniel of Cartersville and Deidre Achenbach of Vidalia; and his sister Norma McDaniel of Atlanta. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
