She was predeceased by: her husband Hyman Gowan; her parents, Eschol Adams and Sarah Adams; and her brothers, Harold Adams and James Adams.
She is survived by: her daughters, Regina McNeal (Wendell) of Alamo and Barbara Avery (L. P.) of Alamo; and her grandchildren, Perry Avery, Hollie Mobley (Matt), Wendy Bell (Dwain), Zach McNeal and Luke McNeal. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
