He was predeceased by: his parents, David Hochstetler and Anna Hochstetler; and his brothers, Omar Hochstetler, Dwight Hochstetler, William D. Hochstetler and Robert Hochstetler.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Dixon Hochstetler; his daughters, Tammy Shank Mura (John) of Atlanta, Anna Vanessa Hochstetler Eddins (Sonny) of Sherrills Ford, Teresa Lynn Hochstetler Nichols of Lincolnton and Ashley Hochstetler Adams of Mt. Vernon; his siblings, Catherine Troyer (Eli), Susanna Miller (Albert), Joseph Hochstetler (Ruby), Jacob Hochstetler (Cynthia), John Hochstetler (Vangie), Sarah Strader and Rachel Troyer (Loren); his grandchildren, Heather Petty, Tyler Bingle, Autumn Hodges, Anna Adams and Aaron Adams; and his great grandchildren, Ayden, Wyatt and Ren.
