We are sad to announce that on October 11, 2020 we had to say goodbye to David Carter of Vidalia, Georgia, born in Barnwell, South Carolina. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of David Carter to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Carter and Jean Carter; and his brother Jimmy Carter. He is survived by: his wife Selina Warnock Carter; his daughter Christy Carter Cardona (Alex); his granddaughters, Sofía of Vidalia and Luna Cardona of Vidalia; and his siblings, Hal Carter of Charleston, Brian Carter (Jan) of Barnwell and Marie Carter Lyle of Loganville. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family has requested all attending the visitation and the service to follow CDC guidelines, including social distancing and wearing a mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First Baptist Church for the Marie Warnock Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 631, Vidalia, GA 30475.

He was the first of us to have a car to drive and we with Reggie King had a few escapades about Barnwell. He and Selina had the hottest wedding I've ever attended, but it was beautiful.
