He was predeceased by: his son Dave Wesley Johnson III; his parents, Dave Wesley Johnson, Sr. and Catherine Laverne Luquire Johnson; his stepmother Flora H. Johnson; his sister Linda K. Harmon; and his stepbrother Scott D. Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Mariateresa Vermug Fuentes of Virginia; his children, Stacy Johnson of Jacksonville, Sandra K. Johnson of Jacksonville and Jeremiah Johnson of Jacksonville; his sisters, Vickie E. Thompson (James) of Augusta, Ruth Woods (Lester) of Grovetown and Rita E. Miller (Ronnie) of Lyons; and his stepbrother Tim Harris (Helen) of Lyons. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
