She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. L. G. Thompson; her parents, John Robert Jernigan and Lottie Mae Killingsworth Jernigan; and her sisters, Vera Holton, Sarah Beth Austin and Mary Kay Jernigan.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Gene Thompson Hall of Vidalia, Robert, Kay Thompson Brown (Davey) of Dublin, Kristi Hall Lane (John) of Clarkesville, Julie Williams English of Buckhead, Leslie Gene Thompson II (Meredith) of Smyrna, Lance Davey Brown (Allison) of Alpharetta and Dr. Dana Kay Davis (Chris) of Alpharetta.
