With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Dixon of Vidalia, Georgia, born in Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on December 5, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby R. Dixon; her parents, Neill A. Thaggard and Eula Neville Thaggard; her siblings, Neill A. Thaggard, Jr. (Joan) and Jane Thaggard Adams; her parents-in-law, Mayor Hugh M. Dixon and Myrtice J. Dixon Young; and her brother-in-law Mayor Ronnie A. Dixon.

She is survived by: her children, Kathy Dixon Usher, Bob (Suzanne Dixon) and Lynn (Steve Dean); her grandchildren, Rebekah Usher, Rachel Sikes (Jordan), John Dixon (Elizabeth) of Newnan, Elizabeth Madison (Mike) of Birmingham, Abigail Dixon of Smyrna, Paul Dixon (Chelsea) of Smyrna, Katherine Jenkins (Austin) of Brookhaven, Anna Beverly (Lance) of Birmingham, William Harris of Atlanta and Turner Harris of Atlanta; her great grandchildren, Katlyn McIntyre of New Branch, Drew Vaughn of New Branch, David Dixon of Newnan, Ansley Dixon of Newnan, Hank Madison of Birmingham and Jack Jenkins of Brookhaven; her brother Wendell Dixon (Elaine) of Vidalia; and her sisters-in-law, Sandy Dixon (late Mayor Ronnie Dixon) of Vidalia and Rita Thaggard (late Neill Thaggard) of Jacksonville, Florida..
