Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Anice McArthur in Vidalia, Georgia, born in Scotland, Georgia, who passed away at the age of 96, on August 18, 2023. She was predeceased by: her husband John William McArthur; and her siblings, Drury Reid Willcox, Eli Kennedy Willcox and Mary Louise Willcox. She is survived by: her children, John William McArthur, Jr. (Elizabeth Harper Scheetz), Dr. Thomas Reid McArthur (Lettie Margaret Wheat) and Genevieve Jarvis McArthur Betts (Donald Samuel Betts) of Ailey, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Lettie Eliza McArthur Murray (Matthew Clay Murray) of Atlanta, Thomas Reid McArthur, Jr. (Lori Hanna McArthur) of Athens, GA, Genevieve Floy Betts Gardner (George Grant Gardner) of Douglas, GA, Mary Anice Betts of Atlanta, Drury Katherine Betts of Atlanta, GA, John William McArthur III of Washington, DC and Andrew Larson McArthur of Washington, DC.. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
